About Chess2EZ
Chess2EZ is a free coach for beginners and improving players. Paste your chess.com or lichess username and a real engine finds your biggest mistakes, then explains each one in plain English so you actually understand what went wrong.
How we make our content accurate
Chess is a domain where being wrong is obvious, so we hold our content to a strict standard. Three rules keep it honest:
1. The engine is the judge.
Every move in your games is analyzed by Stockfish, the strongest chess engine in the world. The engine's evaluation is the ground truth. We never overrule it.
2. The AI only puts it into words.
We use AI to explain why a move is good or bad in plain English. It is grounded in the engine's facts and is not allowed to invent moves or lines it cannot verify. If something cannot be known concretely, we say so.
3. Every position is verified.
Each board and example across our lessons, tactics, openings, and guides is checked with a real chess library, so the positions are always legal and the moves shown are real. We would rather publish less than publish something wrong.
Who it is for
Beginners who keep losing and do not know why, and improving players who want a clear, no-jargon picture of their weaknesses. Everything is written to be understood by someone who has barely played, and the analysis and explanations are free.
Who is behind it
Chess2EZ is built and maintained by an independent developer who plays chess and got tired of analysis tools that explain nothing. It is a small, focused product, not a content farm. If you spot a mistake or have a suggestion, we genuinely want to hear it - use the feedback link in the banner at the top of any page.
